H&H Flatheads

H&H Flatheads was founded by Mike Herman in 2003. Mike, who gained a masters in business management with marketing at Colorado Mesa University, brought to the business a unique perspective on what he could do with the business and where it could go. Not content with just rebuilding Ford Flathead and other vintage engines, Mike wanted to supply parts and manufacture parts that were no longer readily available. His first acquisition was in 2007 when he purchased Barney Navarro’s well-proven speed equipment line consisting of cast aluminum cylinder heads, intakes and various accessories. Navarro was quickly followed by Sharp and then Austin and most recently Wilson & Woods and Dixon sohv heads as well as the Burrell line of Cadillac intakes. These acquisitions put Mike in a unique position as an engine builder who can reach into his parts bin for almost any combination a customer can request from a Navarro 4-71 blower kit to a Stromberg carburetor.

“Fifteen years is a long time to specialize in one engine.” Said Mike. “After something like 1,500 flathead builds I can confidentially say we know a thing or two about Ford’s finest. However, we also rebuild other classic engines including flathead Lincoln V8s and V12s. With a full machine shop, we can pretty much tackle anything.” He concluded.
